FAQs
Answers to questions I frequently get asked in my practice..........
How do I take my remedy?
Any specific information required for your individualised remedy will be provided along with your prescription. However there are some general good practices to make sure you get the best from your remedy - Always take your remedy with a clean mouth, avoid eating or drinking 10 mins before and after taking the remedy. Allow the remedy to fully dissolve under your tongue (this wont take long). Liquid remedies can drop straight on to the tongue or be added to water (your prescription will recommend which for you) Remedies should be stored out of direct sun light, away from moisture and strong smells.
How do I know if my remedy is doing anything?
Homeopathy is a healing process and changes may be subtle and not necessarily directly related to your presenting issue in the beginning. It is a good idea to keep a note of any small changes that you notice, however small you think it is - everything is important and an indication of moving in the right direction.
How long will it take to notice positive changes?
This is a difficult question and it's impossible to say! Everyone has different energies and react at different paces. Chronic conditions will take longer to resolve than acute conditions, it may take a few prescriptions for you to start to notice changes, and more to make lasting changes - if you think about how long you have had the condition it will take time to resolve.
Should I stop taking my other prescribed medication?
NO! You should never stop any prescribed medication. You must let me know about any prescribed medication that you are taking and Homeopathy can work alongside it. As your health starts to improve you may not need to be as reliant on conventional medication, this must be discussed with your prescribing practitioner before any withdrawal of conventional medications.
